Hardcore Republican politicians will always kick and thrash and scream about the same tired bullshit. Grow up, you fucking babies!
That said, the Happle Tea site is now completed. Users can comment on comics, but require at least one previously accepted comment before they can post regularly. I’ve also allowed gravatar images to be used as icons. It took me a week of hard work but I’m glad it’s finally done and working. If you see any issues with the site, please contact me: k@10km.org.
I’ve begun advertising using Project Wonderful. I’d like to see how well it works and maybe once I start generating traffic, I can put an ad box on my own site. We shall see! New content will be posted this week, I’m writing strips today and working on them this week now that the site is done!

Where do I get one of those tiny elephants? I think I could use it to lure in unsuspecting republican hotties.
I wonder if this gives me double icons, as well. Testing testing!
If I’m gonna be posting comments on your new website you better draw me a sick avatar….
It’z so cute but….
Kill it with fire D:
I’m a hardcore conservative, and my two best friends are gay. I think this would work just as easily if it was a donkey screaming cliched liberal sentiments. Personally, I’m not a big fan of deadhead fanatics on either side of the political landscape, but I do enjoy your storytelling with this strip. Even if the idea is wasted on me because it embraces a cliche, I still really like the way you frame it, and the dialogue of those watching.
I look forward to more.
Donkey: “EQUALITY!!!! FREEDOM OF SPEEECH!!!”
Yeah, that’s not so funny. Republicans are way more fun to badger.
Edit: Donkey: “Equality & Freedom of speech unless you don’t agree with us. Oh, and raise taxes, as well as freedom of religion unless your Christian. The government knows better than the individual and can fix everything”.
Cliches abound on both sides, Arex. And, while slinging mud can be entertaining, it’s actually 98% fruitless. Neither side convinces the other, and generally only the gulf yawns wider.
The conclusion I’ve come to is that people in the US have forgotten something important: the government is the enemy. It’s not left vs. right — it’s left AND right (and everyone else) vs. the government.
Our media has certainly forgotten it (in favor of ratings).
The government is the enemy in the sense that it tries to distract everyone with foolish pandering and grand standing on issues. Rather than focusing on real issues and real progress, we’re lead to fight each other over stupid shit like abortion and gay rights which shouldn’t be issues at all. Whatever your religion says, you have no right to tell other people what they can and cannot do. If you believe that abortion is wrong, you don’t have to have one. If you believe gay marriage is wrong, you don’t have to be married to someone of the same sex.
What people seem to forget in these inflammatory arguments is that freedom for others to do what they wish is NOT somehow disgracing your religion or your beliefs.
Freedom and happiness for people are all that matter.
This is on e of my favorite political web-comic strips of all time.
What we need is a political party built entirely on irony. It’s mascot could be like a Platypus or something awesome like that. They could advocate that a law be passed stating all pregnancies should end in abortion and that people are required by law to marry individuals of the same sex. Also they would only nominate candidates born in other countries and claim that the only important legal document is the Declaration of Independence which basically says that if we don’t approve of the government we have the responsibility to overthrow it and start a new one.
I thought it was funny! Politics is a funny thing…..much more funnier right now cause it’s such a two party system.
