The Secret Lives of Owls (Moving Out – Part 2)
This comic is fast degenerating into a vehicle for my peculiar owl obsession. For some reason, I find these animals fascinating and entirely ridiculous. There is a plaque that was in my brother’s workshop for some time that featured a preposterous photo of an owl glazed onto it. When I moved into my new apartment, he delivered it to me as a house-warming gift, albeit with some modifications. I think this story starts to hit upon my particular illness.
I believe this particular strip truly illustrates the life and times of today’s owl population. I see them up there, sitting, watching, lurking. Why do they not, as the saying goes, get a job?
A valid question and one I will be sure to investigate next time I see an owl.
Anyway, Tuesday will be the last part of this mini story, then back to our regularly scheduled weirdness.

My money is on the owl on the left… the one on the right looks like the hatchling which fell out of the nest but didn’t fly… and tried many times, all landing on his soft little owl head.
On a side note… how much larger is that pull tab on that zipper going to become? You’d think at that size the sheer weight and gravity would force it down.
It does seem a little large in this one, doesn’t it? hahaha
I like to think that he is getting one hell of a work out at all times.
Owls are very rude animals. H-HOOOOOO!
“clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right . . .”
i LOVE the Dire Owl placard! (not to mention Happle Tea as a whole)
How have I never seen that plaque before? And I need to see the new place. 😛
Your owl drawing skills are becoming greater everyday.
Well, whatever you do, don’t go putting blankets on them.
